It was a thriller in the Active Netball Youth U17 Netball League on Sunday evening as Dubai Exiles’ ‘Team Purple‘ Netball team took on ‘Salon 971’ with a simple equation. Win and finish the season top of the league, lose and finish second.
If there were any nerves going into the final ‘winner takes all’ match with ‘Salon 971’ they certainly didn’t show once the whistle blew to start the match.
By the end of the game, these young ladies of Dubai Exiles Netball Club, Ava, Zara, Simrah, Cecilia, Dania, Yara, Kiran, Myriam, and Siphesihle, had brought to bear everything that they’d practiced and applied over the season and left the court with the honours by 16 to 11.
Congratulations young ladies – you’ve done yourselves proud!
